SUPPORTIVE MANAGEMENT


Long-term, supportive, safe, and affordable housing is necessary for people in poverty to begin to cope with other aspects of their lives.

Our managers liaise with service providers in the community in order to ensure that tenants at risk of losing their housing can remain housed.

We are proactive, rather than reactive – so we communicate with and create a trusting rapport with our tenants who need support. We do follow up with tenants to make sure they are continuing to access appropriate supports when needed.

Once a tenant has been accepted into our housing, it is then our philosophy to do everything we can to continue to house the person with the Society.

We encourage peer support. This is especially needed for tenants who have no support network of family or friends.





Tenant Employment Opportunities:

Many tenants participate in or our casual labour program. Most of these jobs are painting, cleaning, and yard work/landscaping opportunities. This helps improve income and their standard of living.
