MISSION OUTCOMES
The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society strives to be an innovative, flexible, responsive, financially-sound leader, rooted in the geographic communities in which it operates. Because of the work of EICHS, these outcomes will be achieved:
- The central neighborhoods, and in particular the inner city have sufficient adequate and affordable housing stock to meet the needs of families and individuals in the community.
- Interested people have the opportunity to participate in and shape the on going housing developments, goals, and objectives of The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society.
- People live in The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society buildings as long as they want to stay, not because they have to, until such time that their income enables them to access market housing options.
- Tenants take pride in their homes and are involved in community life.
- The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society involves local communities in its governance and activities.
- Governments, agencies, communities and individuals value the role and contribution of The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society and are involved in its governance and activities.
- The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society is recognized locally and provincially for its provision and management of housing for people who cannot afford market housing.
- The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society works in partnership to provide a range of housing options that meet the housing needs of families and individuals in Edmonton's central neighborhoods, in particular the inner city, who cannot afford market housing.
