The Edmonton Inner City Housing Society is a Housing Developer
We have built over 20 housing developments throughout the inner city neighborhoods in Edmonton. This includes housing for individuals and families - providing homes for approximately 500 people.
When it comes to Property Development, the Edmonton Inner City Housing Society owns all of the property it develops. After construction is completed, we assume the on going management of the property, with a view to keeping it excellent condition, and truly affordable for people who cannot afford market housing, for a 25-40 year period.
We try and build new housing, replacing derelict properties, or building on vacant lots – thereby improving the housing stock in the neighborhood.
When possible, we try and design our housing to fit the 'residential type of housing on the street', including appropriate massing and density.
We consult and inform the community, and are willing to sign good neighbor agreements with the community, as we strive to be a socially responsible property developer and manager.
