The Support Network is Edmonton's Crisis and 211 Centre.  Driven by the needs and support of the communities within the Edmonton region, The Support Network is a leader in community information services, crisis intervention and suicide prevention. Homeward Trust Edmonton was created following governance reviews of the Edmonton Housing Trust Fund (EHTF) and the Edmonton Joint Planning Committee on Housing (EJPCOH). The reviews included the input from 32 stakeholders, such as community groups and all orders of government.  The result is Homeward Trust Edmonton. This new organization brings together EHTF’s recognized financial and funding expertise and EJPCOH’s in-depth community planning and research experience.  The outcome is a new and improved organization focused on funding housing projects for people who are homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.  For more information please click on the following link:  http://www.homewardtrust.ca

Edmonton City Centre Church Corporation (ECCCC) responds to the needs of disadvantaged people through program delivery, coordination, and advocacy in partnership with other individuals and organizations in order to create healthier communities for all. The Edmonton Social Planning Council (ESPC) is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization. A voluntary Board of Directors representing all community sectors governs the Council.  The ESPC builds community through research, advocacy and public education. They identify trends and emerging social issues, then create opportunities to debate those trends and issues.  Today, the focus is poverty, child welfare and housing. The Alberta Housing Coalition (AHC) is a broad based, provincial group which will create a unified voice to promote change, increase community knowledge and share information on affordable housing. (website disabled)

Canadian Housing and Renewal Association (CHRA) is a national non-profit organization that promotes access to adequate, affordable housing for low and modest income households and seeks to heighten awareness of affordable housing issues through research, advocacy, networking and communications. Since its establishment in 1968, CHRA has provided a national forum for discussion and research on affordable housing issues, touching on a broad range of socioeconomic policies and programs. They serve people who represent a wide range of disciplines and jurisdictions in the non-profit, government and private sectors. Homefest is a concert to raise awareness of the housing crisis hurting the lives of thousands of people in Edmonton. The 2005 concert will be held at McDougall United Church on Sunday, November 13. Money raised by the concert will be donated to support housing needs in Edmonton. The concert is supported by sponsors, the work of 100 volunteers, and many musicians and other members of the roots music community.  Three performance areas will provide a rich menu of music for four wonderful hours.  For more information please visit their website at http://www.homefest.ca/

Capital Region Housing Corporation provides affordable housing in the Alberta Capital Region.  They provide professional housing and asset management to applicants, tenants, program funders, and property owners.  CRHC develop/purchase housing units to provide affordable housing to meet the needs of the Alberta Capital Region.  CRHC's mission is, through a continuum of housing options, to empower families of modest means to become more independent and improve their quality of life.  For more information please visit their website at http://www.crhc.ab.ca/

Vibrant Communities Edmonton (VCE) Vibrant Communities Edmonton is part of a group that links 16 communities across Canada.  Together, we are sharing experiences and resources to improve the quality of life for people in Canada.  In Edmonton, we are focusing our efforts on building family economic success for families who are working and earning low wages.  We are building collaborations between people who would not normally work together, sharing our resources and knowledge with various sectors, building on existing programs in Edmonton and taking comprehensive approaches to helping families build stronger financial futures.  For more information please visit their website at: http://www.vibrantedmonton.ca/

Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) Centre is an organization that provides educational information on Tardive Dyskinesia, a movement disorder caused primarily by antipsychotic medications that are used to treat schizophrenia.  TD is a result of damage to the bodily systems that process dopamine, and is typically caused by exposure to certain prescription medications.  The symptoms of TD, which are irreversible and incurable, mimic those of Parkinson's disease.  They offer the most up-to-date information on TD, its causes and all known treatment options.  They also distribute free support books and informational packets to their users.  For more information please visit their website at http://tardivedyskinesia.com
